Welcome to our Web site. The Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM) ranks among the world’s premier collections devoted to anesthesia history. Housed in the headquarters building of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the WLM also serves as an active, specialized medical library.

The Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM) will close its museum gallery for remodeling beginning August 1, 2010. The library and all other WLM services will remain open throughout this remodeling project. The museum gallery is expected to reopen in early 2011. The WLM is also embarking on a major digitization project of its museum and other collections. The development of a virtual museum is in progress with these digitization efforts. Please refer to our Web site for updates on these museum projects.
