United, ASA’s Official Airline, is offering special meeting discounts for 2006 Annual Meeting attendees. If you purchase your ticket more than 30 days prior to travel, you can receive an additional 5% discount off applicable fares.
There are two ways to purchase your tickets:
1) You, or your travel agent, can call the United Special Meeting Desk at 1-800-521-4041, and refer to Meeting ID Number 502ZR. Applicable discounts are from 2 – 10% off, including First Class. Discounts apply to travel on domestic segments of all United Airline, United Express, TED and United code share flights (UA*) operated by US Airways, US Airways Express and Air Canada.
2) You can also reserve your flights online at www.united.com. Just enter your departure city and destination (Chicago), your arrival/departure dates, and Promotion Code 502ZR. Available flights will be displayed, and those that qualify for the 10% discount will be clearly identified with a green star symbol, which means the itinerary is “electronic certificate eligible.” United will then automatically calculate the discounted fare after you select your flights. Please note that the Promotion Code is case sensitive and the characters (“ZR”) need to be capitalized. This special offer applies to flights to or from the US only.
There are no fees to use the 800# or to reserve your flight on line.
International attendees will receive a 10% discount off the lowest applicable fare (excluding First Class) – or a 15% discount off the fully refundable, unrestricted coach fare – when they call their local United Airlines reservation number and refer to Meeting ID Number 502ZR. An additional 5% discount applies when tickets are purchased more than 60 days in advance of travel dates. Discounts apply to United and Lufthansa (code share) flights.
ASA ANNUAL MEETING RENTAL CAR DISCOUNTS
ASA has arranged for special discounts on rental vehicles for attendees at this year’s Annual Meeting in Chicago. These preferred rates are offered by the Avis and Budget car rental agencies.
Every class of vehicle, from subcompact cars to SUVs, will have discounted rates applied for one week before to one week after the ASA Annual Meeting. All rates will include unlimited mileage and special weekend rates; specific cars by model and rental class are based on availability.
Avis Rent A Car offers a choice of Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, Pontiac and Hummer vehicles, depending on the type of rental class you select. To make your reservation, call their toll-free 1-800-331-1600 number, mention AWD #J096028 (Avis Worldwide Discount) and tell them you are attending the ASA meeting in Chicago.
To reserve from Budget Car Rental, contact their representative at 1-800-772-3773 and mention Convention Discount Number U063642. Be sure to also let them know you are attending the ASA meeting in Chicago. You can choose a Ford, Chrysler, Mercury, Lincoln, Cadillac and Hummer, depending on the type of rental class you select.
